I started the coffee culture series as a joke back in 2003. After several pieces were done I started to talk to professionals in the coffee industry about the history and processes of the coffee world. This started me looking at the coffee culture series from a completely different perspective. History was rich. Processes were bold. Stories to be depicted were dark, medium and light. It started to embody everything that I both love and hate about our culture and how it fits in with the global economy and culture. |
